Literature Text
I spent these days watching
The snow fall gently down;
And observed the beauty
Of the earth in white,
As a feeling of peace Crawled into my hometown.
The weather was cold
Sub-zero temps to say the Least;
I had the tree decorated With pure delight,
And had prepared a Memorable feast.
My family & friends are Coming over soon so the Festivities can begin;
Christmas is suppose to be A festive time,
But why am I feeling sad Again?
Why does my heart feel so Cold & frozen inside?
If december is a time of Celebrating togetherness,
Why do I feel so lonely Tonight?
The presents are under the Tree and the fireplace is all Aglow;
Yet...I'm not jolly at all,
Why is this happening?
I must know.
Will Santa hear my plea to Heal this broken heart?
These cold December Nights are too cold alone,
I'm regretting we've ever Chosen to part.

A Memory of Sweet Thorns
“For months I choked on flower petals
Stifled my coughing as I tended to your needs
You claimed to be without air
So I tried to help you breathe
(even though I was the one suffocating)
Blinded by the widespread leaves
Curling flower vines wound about my wrists
I was a willful prisoner of (imagined) love
Believing that the thorns leaving marks on my heart
Was apart of being loved
But it’s not. It doesn’t have to be. Love shouldn’t hurt.
And oh, how you’ve hurt me.
Willfully, intentionally. Eating up my happiness.
When I found the seeds hidden throughout
Our conversations, your home, the food you offered me

Cry for You
I don't like crying.
It's wet and messy
And makes my eyes puff up and redden,
But I want to cry for you.
I want the world to cry for you.
You could melt the coldest of hearts
And make a stranger feel at home
With just one look
And an offering of your warmth.
You shared your love with everyone.
The lifetime with you
Seemed shorter than your final hour,
Thinking of you alone in the clinic,
Wishing you were in my arms,
Wishing I could cuddle the cancer away...
And now it feels wrong
To still have to eat and work
And do stupid mundane things
In a world without you,
When I only want to cry for you.
And so if the world must tur

DOES A LEAF CRY?
DOES A LEAF CRY?
For you,
I became a tree.
For me,
A leaf you were.
Throughout how many seasons
Have we lived,
Holding tightly each other?
Of what is this Autmn now?
Of what is this wind?
Where’ it come?
Does a leaf cry
As dropping off its tree?
Does the heart of the tree not hurt
After its leaf?
